OLLI summer registration available now

Summer enrichment learning for age 50+

Registration is open now for summer classes at the University of Delaware’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institutes (OLLI) with classes starting June 3 in Lewes, July 8 in Dover, and July 9 in Wilmington.

Nicknamed “OLLI,” UD’s lifelong learning programs are membership-based organizations structured as learning cooperatives for adults 50 and over to take and teach classes together with no grades, exams or educational prerequisites. More than 900 courses were offered to over 4,000 members last year.

Examples of summer course offerings include:

  • Dover ― Leonardo da Vinci, Delaware Civil War History, Memoir Writing, CPR Certification
  • Lewes ― Stained Glass, Retirement Investing, Irish Potato Famine, Delaware Coast Marine Life
  • Wilmington ― BBQ: America’s Cuisine, James Bond Films and Books, Hike Into History, Mah Jongg

OLLI Dover classes are held at Wyoming Church, 216 Wyoming Rd.; Lewes classes at the Fred Thomas Building, 520 Dupont Ave.; and Wilmington classes at UD’s Arsht Hall, 2700 Pennsylvania Ave.

Prospective members can visit the programs, and register on the same day if they wish, during in-person registration on April 15-19 in Wilmington (9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.), May 7 in Lewes (10 a.m.-1 p.m.), or May 8 in Dover (10 a.m.-1 p.m.).

OLLI gift certificates are available for purchase year-round.
