ESPIONAGE IN WWII (G554)

G – History

Dover (Wyoming Church) | October 20, 2026-November 24, 2026

Tuesday: 2:30 PM-3:45 PM

This is a hybrid course. One section meets on site at the location listed; and one section meets online only.

This class examines the role that spies and intelligence played in the Second World War,  on both sides of the conflict. These will  include both “official” spies (those who worked for their governments),  and “traitors” (who worked against the  countries they  purported to love). We’ll look at  recruitment and training,  the networks they  built,  the operations they carried out and what happened to them during and after the war, if they survived.

INSTRUCTOR: Patricia White

WHITE, PATRICIA — Retired after 35 years at the National Security Agency, serving in a number of roles including intelligence analyst, watch chief and chief of public affairs. Lifelong learner now enjoying going to classes for fun rather than for work.
