This is a hybrid course. One section meets on site at the location listed; and one section meets online only.

Dutch settlers considered the Delaware the finest and most pleasant river in the world. From Lenape treaties and betrayals through Revolutionary War battles and disputes over dams and power plants, the Delaware has been marked by historic events, characters and controversies. Join us on this illustrated and entertaining cruise through time down the historic Delaware.

INSTRUCTOR: Gary Letcher

LETCHER, GARY — Author of Paddlers’ Guide to the Delaware River (now in its 4th edition), has been canoeing the Delaware for 50 years. Served on the board of advisors of the Delaware Riverkeeper Network. Retired to Lewes, he spends time in the Delaware watershed twice daily. (G494)
