SLOW JAM IN DOVER (CP304)

CP – Performing Arts Participation

Enjoy playing old-time tunes in a relaxed environment. All skill levels and acoustic string instruments welcome. Other instruments such as flute, penny whistle, recorder, etc. are also welcome. Stringed instrument players should know basic chords in keys of G, D and A. Ability to sight read music is not a requirement but is a very helpful skill.

INSTRUCTOR: Nathan Jackson

JACKSON, NATHAN — Grew up in Seaford, Delaware, listening to his grandfather and several uncles playing and singing bluegrass and old time gospel around an old woodstove, truly a piece of heaven! He sings and plays acoustic guitar and a little banjo as well, and is a 34-year member and 6-year board member for Delaware Friends of Folk. He wants to help spread the joy getting together with like-minded souls to share the miracles that music brings to our souls.
