HISTORY OF MEDIEVAL SCIENCE (G246)

G – History

Before modern science could develop, it needed the foundations laid for it in the Middle Ages. Greek natural philosophy, medieval science, laid the foundations for the development of what we call science today. We will meet many of the people who developed the intellectual atmosphere that would allow for the transmission of ancient Greek science to the post-Roman world.

INSTRUCTOR: Raymond Hain

HAIN, RAYMOND — B.S., aeronautical engineering; master’s degrees in philosophy and military studies in airpower. Spent 26 years in the Air Force. Has been a docent at Seattle’s Museum of Flight and the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. Spent 26 years as an Air Force officer.
