This is a hybrid course. One section meets on site at the location listed; and one section meets online only.

In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, this course shines a light on the remarkable women of the Revolutionary era — women whose courage, resilience and ingenuity helped shape a nation. We explore the military, economic, social and cultural impact of women — from well-known figures to those whose stories are only now being rediscovered. This course is a revised version of the course Women in the American Revolution taught in 2024.

DONAHUE, SUSAN — Native Delawarean. B.A., communication, University of Delaware; master of instruction, University of Delaware; doctoral coursework, Wilmington University. Retired elementary school teacher and administrator in the Milford and Cape Henlopen School Districts. OLLI member since 2018.
