The story of West Side Story began more than 75 years ago. From its earliest conception as East Side Story to its ground-breaking Broadway run and the award-winning film, West Side Story has become an icon of American culture. This class begins with the creation of the original stage version of West Side Story and then brings the story to the making of the 1961 film and present day.
