This 11-week course features mostly live musical performances: Hail! Hail! Rock ‘n’ Roll (Chuck Berry); 20 Feet From Stardom (great 1960s backup singers), Summer of Soul (1969 Harlem Cultural Festival), Stax/Volt Revue Live in Norway 1967 (Otis Redding, Sam & Dave, Booker T.); the T.A.M.I. Show (James Brown, Rolling Stones, Beach Boys); Amazing Grace (Aretha live gospel 1972); The Wrecking Crew (1960s LA studio musicians); Don’t Look Back (Bob Dylan acoustic in London 1965) plus three films TBD.

GRANT, JERRY — B.A., University of Delaware; J.D., Widener School of Law. Host of soul and rhythm and blues radio program on WVUD-FM for 40+ years. Former record store owner and occasional rock band member. OLLI student since 2017, instructor since 2020.
