Required text: Knitting Bag of Tricks, and Knitting Bag of Tricks Official Workbook by Patty Lyons. Have you ever wondered about the “why” of your knitting? Would you like to improve on your knitting skills? Whether you are a new or seasoned knitter, this class is for you! We work together through the exercises in Patty Lyons’ Official Workbook of her Knitting Bag of Tricks. There is homework to prepare swatches and there will be lots of discussions, reflections, journaling, laughs and fun. Required for first class: please read Knitting Bag of Tricks chapter 1, and prepare swatch #1 (in non-superwash wool; preferably DK or worsted), see workbook page 14.

COHEN, RANDI — a retired preschool director from New Jersey and a lifelong needle craft enthusiast. Since retiring in 2022, has worked at yarn stores, taught beginning knitting and has taken numerous classes. Feels that knitting is a hobby that’s great for your hands, head and heart.

HINES, HELEN — Retired after 40 years in the federal government. Has been crocheting and knitting most of her life. Involved with several knitting guilds over the years.
