ABSTRACT ART WORKSHOP: INTERMEDIATE (B201)

B – Fine Arts

Class format revolves around biweekly assignments on themes based on various art movements, highlighting specific artists via slideshow. Students use the examples shown as inspiration to make their own art. Every other week, student work is presented and discussed, which can be highly participatory. Students are provided with positive comments and suggestions by their class peers to improve upon their work. Additionally, knowledge of art making techniques and material descriptions are shared.

ERIKSEN, ROLF — M.A., economics, University of Delaware. Senior vice president and economist, Delaware Trust Company; CEO, Beneficial Mortgage Corp.; retired as executive director, Lutheran Senior Services, Inc., Wilmington. Served on boards of several local volunteer organizations. Current chairman, Delaware Health Facilities Authority and member since 1974.

SALLEE, ERIC — M.Arch., University of Virginia. Practicing architect for more than 30 years. Strong interest in collage, photography and technology and their use in the appreciation and making of abstract art. Enjoys outdoor activities and travel.
