WE CAN DO IT! PART 2: INFLUENCERS – WOMEN OF THE 1940s (G576)

G – History

Lewes (Trinity Faith Education Building) | October 20, 2026-November 24, 2026

Tuesday: 10:45 AM-12:00 PM

This is a hybrid course. One section meets on site at the location listed; and one section meets online only.

The women of the 1940s were making changes not only in their own lives but also in the culture and fabric of America. The influence of these women in public service, the arts, literature, music, isolationism, military, businesses, spy networks and professional careers, would reverberate way beyond their time. We examine not only who and what these pioneering women accomplished but draw a line connecting their influences today. The class format is based on lectures, videos, music and discussion.

This offering meets for a total of 5 session(s).

INSTRUCTOR: Susan Burton McFarlane
