As the longest-serving U.S. president (1933-1945) and the only president with a serious physical disability, Franklin Delano Roosevelt is consistently rated as one of the top three American presidents, along with George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. FDR presided over the country during the depths of the depression and then World War II. Let’s meet FDR’s seven indispensable women: Sara Delano Roosevelt, Eleanor and Anna Roosevelt, Missy Le Hand, Frances Perkins, Daisy Suckley, and Lucy Rutherford.
