MORE FUN WITH CROCHET: GRANNY SQUARES (B394)

B – Fine Arts

Advanced beginners, those who have taken the course before, and all those who enjoy crochet are welcome! We learn a variety of granny square patterns, some a repeat from spring, plus a variety of new ones. This is a workshop format class with “homework” between sessions. At the end of the course, participants will have acquired new skills (or polished old ones) while enjoying the camaraderie of working alongside fellow crafters … and with a granny square blanket or large tote to show for all that good work.

INSTRUCTOR: Loren Hubbell

HUBBELL, LOREN — Spent most of her life in education (B.A., Smith College; MBA, Harvard; 40 years serving colleges and universities in finance leadership). But she has spent most of her evenings with yarn: crocheting, weaving, knitting and other yarn crafts. Her credentials in that field include a great aunt and grandmother who taught her when she was young, an English “O Level” in weaving and a curiosity that led her to discover new projects such as making trivets with yarn and rope (the latter being the most requested Christmas present she makes).
