This introductory oil painting course is designed for beginners who want to explore the beauty and depth of painting with oils. Students learn foundational techniques, including color mixing, brushwork, composition and how to build a painting from start to finish. With a relaxed, supportive approach, this class encourages creativity, observation and developing an artistic voice. The technique taught will be “alla prima” (wet-into-wet), which is used to create lively, expressive and textured paintings.
