This is a hybrid course. One section meets on site at the location listed; and one section meets online only.

The Federalist Papers are 85 essays written by James Madison, Alexander Hamilton and John Jay to defend the proposed Constitution of the United States that had been written during what we call today the Constitutional Convention. We look at the most pertinent of the essays, those that describe the structure and meaning of the Articles of the Constitution, the meaning of the wording of the constitution, and discuss how our society might have evolved beyond the dictates of the Constitution.

INSTRUCTOR: William Jones

JONES, WILLIAM — Long-term instructor at the Wilmington and Dover OLLI campuses. A Cornell graduate and retiree from DuPont and consulting, enjoys history, earth science and travel with his wife, Dot.
