This is the eighth installment in the Fun in FUNdamental Mathematics franchise and, once again, is meant as a hop-on-hop-off opportunity requiring no prerequisite participation but offering brand new material for recidivists from earlier installments. The goal of our course is to explore mathematics wherever we may find it, in the historical record, in everyday applications and scientific phenomena. Using creative visuals and cutting edge animations, we will encounter more tantalizing topics.

MANON, JON — B.S., physics and history, Carnegie-Mellon University; M.Ed. Lehigh University; M.S. statistics, Ph.D. University of Delaware. Retired from UD faculty in 2017. Enjoys encountering the beauty of mathematics, skilled in using presentation software to develop engaging graphics that help display important concepts.
