SHAKESPEARE IN PERFORMANCE (H214)

H – Literature

Each semester we explore three Shakespearean plays via videos of stage or movie productions. Class discussion and video lectures by Shakespearean scholars supplement the primary source: the plays themselves. This semester’s plays are The Winter’s Tale, Romeo and Juliet, and Henry VIII.

GOLDBAUM, JUDY — B.A., secondary education, English major, social science minor, Michigan State University. Taught in Michigan, California and Delaware. Retired in 2011 from Brandywine School District after 18 years. Enjoys reading, genealogy and traveling.

SCHER, MITCHELL — B.S., mathematics, SUNY Cortland. Former technology manager specializing in financial systems development. Interests include gardening, hiking and Shakespeare.
