This course shares the instructor’s journey from curiosity about bees to tending thriving backyard bee colonies. Starting with educating myself about bees, to an apprenticeship program, and ultimately having hives of my own, this course will share what I learned along the way, the challenges and the rewards. If you’re thinking about becoming a beekeeper, this course may help you get started.

INSTRUCTOR: Jeffrey Chambers
CHAMBERS, JEFFREY — B.S. and Ph.D., chemistry. In retirement from 32-year research career in DuPont, pursuing new interests such as beekeeping. Also has volunteered in water-quality issues. After training in beekeeping for over a year, obtained bees of his own and has two thriving hives. Now sharing his experience from interest stage, to beekeeper.
