EXPLOSIVE MIDDLE EAST (G478)

G – History

Wilmington (Arsht Hall) | September 8, 2026-December 8, 2026

Tuesday: 9:00 AM-10:15 AM

This is a hybrid course. One section meets on site at the location listed; and one section meets online only.

The Middle East has been at the pivot point of the modern world’s explosive forces since the end of World War I. Even in ancient times, the region was pivotal in world affairs as the crossroads of ancient trade routes linking East and West. This semester we take a closer look at the implications of the Israel/Iran conflict and how it has changed the Middle East and the world. While this is an advanced class, we welcome beginners who like to dig into history and world affairs.
