OLLI PLAYERS PRESENT: FROM PAGE TO STAGE (CP286)

CP – Performing Arts Participation

Prerequisite: Participation in spring 2026 OLLI Players, Caught in the Act, or acting class, or theater experience. The OLLI Players will collaborate as a writing/acting ensemble to create a new, original play, exploring the core components of a one-act play to create a script. Script writing will include suggestions for style elements, blocking, beats, sound effects, music, set and lighting design, costuming and make-up. Participants create character biographies to perform as monologues as part of the audition process. Scripts will be rehearsed and performed in the spring semester.

Retired English/ drama teacher, drama department chair, and theatre teaching artist/ mentor for Delaware Institute for the Arts in Education. Avid theatregoer. Proud of former students performing professionally.

PEO, SUSAN — Retired school band director, A.A., visual communications, B.M., music education and performance, M.M., trumpet performance, University of Delaware. Currently pursuing interests in art, music and drama such as painting, sculpting, cartooning, acting, conducting and playing trumpet/ cornet in multiple ensembles.
