PAINTING WITH TEA AT THE ART STUDIO (B390)

Additional fee: Please note that this course requires an additional fee of $37. Participants receive a payment link from OLLI prior to the first class. There is also an additional $5 material fee due to the instructor at the first class. Join local artist Katie LeCocq in exploring how to turn the staining ability of tea to your advantage with this unexpected painting medium. Participants will go home with a finished painting of a rose which can serve as a lovely gift or a handsome conversation starter. Offered in partnership with The Art Studio, the arts education center of New Castle County’s Department of Community Services, located at 310 Kiamensi Road, Wilmington, DE 19804. INSTRUCTORS: Katherine LeCocq, Nicole Sexton

LeCOCQ, KATHERINE — Work ranges from the whimsical and playful to staid and evocative representations of the natural world. Painting and drawing since she was a child, her work is rendered in media that include acrylic, pen and ink, charcoal, and watercolor and ranges in size from artist trading cards to full murals. Has exhibited her work throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Originally from Seattle, is now based in Wilmington after graduating from Rutgers University’s distinguished Mason Gross School of Fine Arts.
