RECOGNIZING AND PREVENTING FINANCIAL EXPLOITATION (S311)

This is a hybrid course. One section meets on site at the location listed; and one section meets online only.

Scams plaguing our 60+ communities in Delaware have resulted in over $14 million in losses in 2024 alone. This course will teach participants how to recognize, resist, reduce and report fraud through exploring real life examples. Participants will learn how to confidently shut down fraud attempts and safe-guard their assets. The course will be delivered in-person in 5 one-hour sessions using lecture and group participation activities.


INSTRUCTOR: Dave Reedy

REEDY, DAVE — B.A., telecommunications, Kutztown University. Dave brings over 25 years of experience in the banking industry, where he managed financial centers, call centers, and outsourcing operations for Wells Fargo and its predecessor banks. He also spent more than nine years in Global Contact Center Operations at PayPal. Dave has been married for 35 years and is the proud father of four adult children and grandfather to three grandchildren.
