This is a beginning course in which we will learn vocabulary, pronunciation, and the basic structure of the Italian language. An aria from an Italian opera will be enjoyed each week. Cultural information and simple phrases, useful when traveling, will be included as well. The required textbook, Italian is Fun by Concetta Giuliano and Heywood Wald, may be ordered from perfectionlearning.com or amazon.com.

GILMOUR, ANNIE DUGAN — B.A.+30 in French and Spanish from the University of Delaware. Studied Italian at the Puccini Institute in Viareggio, Italy. Taught French, Italian and Spanish for 30 years and Italian at OLLI for 12 years (currently on sabbatical). Interests include opera, Broadway plays, and foreign films. (O241)
