Once a record breaking transatlantic ocean liner, the S.S. United States has recently begun her afterlife as the world’s largest artificial reef. Any other passenger ship of her day would have been scrapped decades ago, but preservationists tried for years to find a new role for her, without success. In this two part class, using videos and graphics, we will take a look at her glory days, her many idle years, and her two part final voyage which begins a new, but final chapter in her long saga.
This offering meets for a total of 2 session(s).
