HOLIDAY WREATH-MAKING WITH GIBRALTAR (SE364)

Get into the holiday spirit with a hands-on wreath-making workshop featuring fresh greens from the Marian Coffin Gardens at Gibraltar. Held indoors in the OLLI Art Room participants will create a holiday wreath from start to finish with guidance provided throughout the process. Everything you need is included—wreath ring, wire, fresh greenery, ribbon, and decorative materials—and everyone will leave with a completed wreath ready to hang. No experience is necessary. Hot drinks will be provided for a little extra holiday cheer. After the workshop, participants are invited to drive across the street to Gibraltar for a Greens Sale, where additional seasonal greens will be available for purchase.

INSTRUCTOR: Liz Allen

ALLEN, LIZ — Garden manager at the Marian Coffin Gardens at Gibraltar, Liz holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Delaware in anthropology and Teaching English as a Second Language, and is fluent in Spanish. A UD Master Naturalist graduate and former Mt. Cuba Center interpreter and instructor, she also ran a small business focused on ecological home gardening. Through her work, she hopes to inspire others to see gardens as living connections between people and nature.
