This is a hybrid course. One section meets on site at the location listed; and one section meets online only.

Spanning more than 5,000 years, Egyptian history is special and marked by pyramids, tombs, mummies and more, including the newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum near Giza in Egypt. The instructor describes a two-week trip up the Nile from Cairo to Aswan, featuring side trips to Luxor and Abu Simbel, amazing sites and sights. Students view a glorious photographic tour that is the next best thing to being there.

INSTRUCTOR: Larry Meinert

MEINERT, LARRY — A former university professor, exploration geologist and published author with more than 40 years of winemaking (and tasting!) experience; his photographs are displayed in museums and galleries across the continent from Washington, DC, to Washington State. He has been to more than 50 countries around the globe, including all seven continents and both the north and south polar regions. (G544, SE322)
